How to manage your Microsoft account

It is recommended to configure the configuration in our Microsoft account because there are new updates for Windows that are currently available. Users may now manage their Microsoft accounts directly from the system settings, which allows them to manage their Microsoft 365 subscription and make the greatest use of the application.

We will go over the procedures for fully managing your Microsoft account in this article. Here, we’ll walk you through the process of setting up a Microsoft account, logging in, and changing your primary email address and password. With each update you make, you’ll get better features as well as more protection and privacy for all of your online accounts. Simply keep reading to gain all the information you need, learn the necessary procedures, and get started managing your Microsoft account.

HOW TO CREATE A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT

  • Go to the sign-up page and click the Create One button.
  • You are prompted to enter your name, a valid email address, a password, your nationality, and your birthdate on a “Let’s establish your account” screen that appears. You can use an existing email account or open a new one by clicking the link. Choose Next.
  • Click Next after entering your current Windows password.
  • You have the option to establish a PIN on the following screen, which is sometimes simpler to remember than a password. If you want to set a PIN, select that option. You will then be prompted to enter and confirm a PIN. Select OK.
  • You can skip this step by just clicking the link if you’d prefer not to use a PIN. You are now in control of your Microsoft account.
  • If you don’t already have one, go to the “Let’s make your account” page, click the link to Create One, and then follow the on-screen instructions to create one.

HOW TO LOGIN TO YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT

  • Open a web browser and navigate to https://account.microsoft.com/account. Any browser will work to log you into your account.
  • Press Sign In. This is located on the window’s left side next to “Create a Microsoft account.”
  • Please enter your Skype, phone, or email. Any of these sign-in methods can be used to access your account.
  • For the next step, click the Continue button.
  • Enter your password. A checkbox next to “Keep me signed in” can be selected if you’d rather not have to log in each time you visit a Microsoft account page.
  • Click Other methods to Sign In or Forgot Password for assistance if you don’t remember your password.
  • To continue, click Sign in. You’ll be taken to your account page, where you may control your products (such as Office), and your devices, if your password is accurate (such as which computers and phones are connected to your account).

CHANGE PRIMARY EMAIL ADDRESS OF MICROSOFT ACCOUNT

  • In Windows 11 and Windows 10, your primary Microsoft Account provides a simple method to sign in to Microsoft services that help you get the most out of your user experience. You can select an Alias or create a new one, then set it as the Primary Microsoft Account email address if you want to alter the one that is linked to your Windows device as your primary address.
  • Sign in to your Microsoft account page
  • Choose Find Account.
  • choose the Your Info tab
  • Next, select Manage your Microsoft sign-in preferences.
  • You can alter the default Microsoft Account email address here.
  • Make primary by choosing the email address you want to use.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MICROSOFT PASSWORD

  • Change your password frequently to keep your account more secure. Only a few steps are required.
  • Use your current password to get into your Microsoft account. Choose “Forgot my password?” and follow the instructions if you do. You can also go to How to reset your Microsoft account password for more in-depth account sign-in concerns.
  • After logging in, choose Security.
  • Choose Password protection.
  • Enter your current password first, then enter a new one and enter it one more to make sure.
  • Choose Save.

Conclusion:  You may use a single username and password to sign in to Skype, Office, Xbox Live, Microsoft Edge, OneDrive, Windows, Mixer, the Microsoft Store, Cortana, and MSN as long as you have a Microsoft account. With the aforementioned information, you will be able to complete every step and keep using your Microsoft account, along with all of its features, updates, and applications.
